Glendale Symphony Orchestra

About the Glendale Symphony

The Emmy-award winning Glendale Symphony is one of the oldest, continuously operating arts organizations in Southern California. Founded in 1924, the GSOA has been led by a series of famed conductors including John Williams, Carmen Dragon, Henry Mancini, Andre Previn, Bill Conti, Lalo Schifrin, Sidney Weiss, Norman Henry Mamey and other guest conductors. In the year 2000, the GSOA accompanied the Three Tenors at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas and with Luciano Pavarotti in his Los Angeles and Palm Desert performances.

In addition to high quality concerts, the GSOA has a deep commitment to the youth of the Glendale area with student scholarships, the Invitational Program for Music Educators and Students, and free tickets for the blind and underprivileged children for our concerts. The mission of GSOA is underwritten by many corporate and private funds and is a non-profit 501 c 3 organization.
